We love what yoga does for our patients! That's why we offer classes in our office with a certified instructor. Yoga can be an integral part of strengthening and repairing weak or damaged tissues. Here are some other benefits of Yoga:

BOOT CAMP

Whether it's an individual or group class, our Boot Camp is exactly what you need to achieve your wellness and fitness goals! The skill and accountability provided by our instructors offers the structure to create a safe and customized plan just for you. They will also coordinate with your Legacy Dr. to ensure your workouts are safe and are targeting muscle groups important for your overall function and strength. Get ready to sweat a little, but you can be confident the intensity level will always be adjusted based on what's best for you.

STRETCHING

Stretching is an important and often overlooked part of your daily health or pre-workout routine. It's important both for injury prevention and for recovery. Here are 5 great benefits to stretching:

FOAM ROLLING

Foam rollers are an effective method of reducing tension and increasing muscle length for either a pre-workout warm-up or post-exercise active recovery. Technically known as self-myofascial release (SMR), the use of foam rollers for the purpose of reducing muscle tension has become a widely accepted fitness practice. Here are some benefits of foam rolling:

  • Reduce muscle stiffness and delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)

  • Increase range of motion and flexibility

  • Raise pain pressure threshold (the measurement of the minimum force applied that induces pain)

Our team is here to support your pregnancy. From before conception to after giving birth, whether it's your first time or your a seasoned veteran, every stage matters and there are specific ways we can help your body to prepare for the beautiful changes taking place inside of you!

YOGA | BOOT CAMP

YOGA

  • Slow flowing movement to loosen the hips, back and shoulders.

  • Standing postures to strengthen the pelvis (targeting back/legs) and deep stretching and relaxation.

  • Focus on specific breathing techniques for labor and delivery.

  • Engaging pelvic floor muscles, which are critical to both delivery and post-partum restoration.

  • While every class is focused on these specific areas, classes will vary each session.

BOOT CAMP

  • Stay in shape and maintain strength during all stages of your pregnancy.

  • Recover more quickly after your baby is born. 

  • Feel confident that you’re exercising safely with personalized modifications provided by your trainer.

  • Continue to strengthen and challenge yourself using body weight, light weights and resistance bands.

  • Classes are modified for each participant’s needs and level of intensity.
